Case Study Overview
Our customer delivers advanced telematics solutions for commercial transportation, enabling real-time tracking, remote monitoring, and seamless cloud integration. By combining GPS, cellular connectivity, and ride analytics, their platform enhances passenger safety, vehicle security, and operational efficiency, supporting applications from fleet management to emergency response.
In critical mobility scenarios, reliable connectivity and instant visibility are non-negotiable. A smart Telematics Control Unit (TCU) powered by Cavli’s C16QS LTE Cat 1bis module provides continuous live location monitoring, instant alerts in case of unauthorized movement, and emergency SOS functionality. During incidents, the system relays last-known coordinates to emergency services and pre-configured contacts, ensuring rapid response and regulatory compliance.
The C16QS module (ARM Cortex M3 @ 204 MHz, 1.25 MB RAM / 4 MB Flash, FreeRTOS with DFOTA, LGA form factor) delivers low-power Cat 1bis connectivity. Power-saving modes extend battery life in large-scale deployments, while AGNSS and GNSS integration guarantee precise tracking.
