Job Description

As the Business Development Director/Sr. Manager- Business Development for the Bangalore market, the candidate assuming the role is expected to work closely with the Senior leadership for the Asia Pacific at Cavli Wireless to drive Cavli’s sales penetration into the Bangalore market.

Cavli has already made our market entry to Bangalore, and we are well-positioned to grow our footprint in Bangalore by identifying and onboarding distributor partners along with direct OEM accounts in verticals such as automotive, smart city, and other mobility use cases. The candidate assuming this role is expected to devise/propose strategies & tactics that will help Cavli with top-line growth.

The candidate will also be tasked with the responsibility of building a market penetration team in Bangalore and closely working with the Product -R&D function at Cavli to ensure Cavli serves the Bangalore market most effectively.

  1. Developing new customer relationships and executing strategies for the organization to boost new account development and operations pipeline and conversion rates.

  2. Creating long-term clients through understanding, targeting, and developing the target markets and accounts.

  3. Conduct secondary research, including finding information from industry associations, statisticians, and marketing experts.

  4. Generate reports that analyze competition and customers and also offer insights about product potential.

  5. Conduct meetings, make sales presentations, and create questionnaires and surveys.

  6. Identify new opportunities for the IoT market and conduct account management activities in multiple territories.

  7. Collaborate with product & sales support teams to ensure that requirements are met.

  8. Internal & external engagement and alignment of the tasks necessary to implement the channel partner strategy.

    Required technical expertise include

  1. Prior experience in business development for Bangalore

  2. Solid understanding of telecommunications/ Wireless communication systems.

  3. Strong inclination towards embedded electronics, RF/Wireless, and the Internet of Things.

  4. 8-10 years of managerial experience, having guided sales-marketing-product support team members.

    Minimum/Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in electronics & communications engineering or computer science engineering or electronics & instrumentation engineering.

  2. Postgraduate degree in management or prior experience in managerial roles in wireless communications, telecom, and embedded electronics sectors.
